CARLY POPE

Carly Pope was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. As a child, Carly has been a passionate dancer with professional training. She attended Lord Byng High School, where she participated in classic plays, such as "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "The Odd Couple." During this time she also appeared on other Canadian TV shows. She studied for a semester at the University of British Columbia. She moved to the US six months after graduating from high school to pursue a Hollywood career. In 1999 Carly landed her breakthrough role in the TV series "Popular". For her work on the show, Pope was nominated for a Teen Choice Award. Since then Carly has appeared on various TV shows, including "Jake 0.2", "The Ranch" and "Tru Calling,and various films, such as "The Glass House" and "Orange County". By 2004, Carly Pope has been named one of Canada's "Young Leaders". She wan a Leo award for "Best Supporting Performance" for her work on the series "The Prosecutor". She has also modeled for Guess Jeans. Other notable appearances of Carly include "The 4400", "Californication", "24" and "The Collector". In the last one, when Morgan first meets her, Maya is a 22-year-old junkie and prostitute.She has been on the streets since running away from home at the age of 17. She provides the spark necessary for Morgan to recover his humanity and ask the Devil for permission to try to save the souls of his clients. Their relationship will be a volatile and ambivalent one-Morgan is a protector, and love interest-but under his care she will finally kick heroin and start to heal her life.
